The Optimus 2X Speed, the handset that is destined to bring LG to top of the smartphone market, can be bought in Korea. LG also announced a white version of the handset.
We already know that the handset will come to Europe as well, probably late in the first quarter of this year. The Optimus 2X has a 1 Ghz dualcore processor, the Nvidia Tegra 2. The handset has a 4 inch LCD display. Its 8 GB internal memory is at the low side of modern standards, but can be enlarged by placing a micro SD card.
Just like many other phones that have been launched in the last few month, the smartphone has two cameras: on the backside a 8 megapixel cam, which makes it possible to record video in Full HD (1080p). At the frontside, you’ll find a 1.3 megapixel cam which can be used for video calling. Playback of video over HDMI is supported, and an upgrade to Android 2.3 Gingerbread is said to come soon.
