Updated: New RAZR Canary, follow up in RAZR series
A new Motorola device has been shown at BengalBoy.com. The new RAZR Canary has leaked out and shows the new line-up in the RAZR series.
The new device is shown on a filtered photograph of the assumed mobile phone within the RAZR series and under the code name Motorola RAZR Canary. As far as known the specifications will contain a 2.0 Megapixel Camera, Bluetooth, TransFlash External Memory and a 262k Tiny LCD screen.
From these pictures we see various improvements over the current RAZR model:
- More vivid external screen
- Apparent glass face, less anodized aluminum
- Covered usb jack
- Improved keypad (still looks flat, not as curved)
- No menu key (?)
- Narrower
- Improved hinge design (if you look closely, there are metal plates covering the side part of the hinge)
- Volume keys and smart button on bottom half of the RAZR (one of the major complaints by many consumers)
- New firmware (similar to V3x, implies possible 3G capabilities, as this is not the final model)
- Same thinness (?) (compared with my RAZR and his hand position)
- From Engadget: 2 Mpixel camera
- Q4 2006 or Q1 2007 launch
The looks of the new device are described as: The size of a double pack of chewing gum with a "Colored Glass" front face. We are really looking forward to more information on this new device.
