Samsung opens market to elderly phones

The elderly phone is a new concept that was shown to the market last year and has expanded throughout the year to a large number of brands. Several of these can be found on our website.

Samsung has seen this new explosion of elderly phones too and opens a portofolio with new products positioned at this direction. At CTIA in Las Vegas Samsung showed us some nice products; Samsung A110 and Samsung A120.

Both are clamshell devices are available only on the US market and will be available in special covers. The UI and controls have large icons and are designed simple. The keypad consits only of a small number of keys or three smart soft keys.

The expectation is that we will see a similar setup in the upcoming months. Samsung will try to expand this in Europe due to the large amount of brands available on this subject.
