Samsung redefines the words slim and ultra-slim
At the beginning of this year the first slim line with mobile phones was introduced by the Korean manufacturer. The end of this year will contain another introduction of brand new slim devices.
Another step into the future is made by Samsung between now and the end of this year. The Korean manufacturer of mobile phones and other electronical equipment redefines the words "slim" and "ultra-slim" in a new set with three devices that will be labelled within the company's new "Ultra Edition" series.
Within this set of three brand-new devices there are the worlds thinnest clamshell, slider and candybar/monoblock. The new X820 (the candybar) will be called Ultra Edition 6.9 and is 6.9 mm thin. The second device the new D830 (the clamshell) will have the name Ultra Edition 9.9 which refers to its 9.9 mm thickness. The thickest of the threesome is the D900 slider also known as Ultra Edition 12.9, which measures, just 12.9 mm.
All three new devices will come to Europe within the third quarter around August or September and will hit the market in several countries. Some countries will get the X820 sooner around June/July. The D830 is ment for September and will be available after the X820 and D900.
