HTC: profit grows 33 percent

HTC’s profit keeps growing. In Q2, the Taiwanese smart phone manufacturer saw its net profit increase with 33% compared to the same period last year. With 268 million dollars, profit has crossed the quarter billion border.

HTC, an acronym of High Tech Computer, was established in 1997. In its first years, the company created phones for other brands. Later, the Taiwanese decided to make HTC branded phones. The current product line-up has smart phones running Window Mobile, Android and Brew OS.
