Picture showing HTC handset running Windows Phone 7 leaked
Placed on 07-26-2010 filed under Rumours
HTC is working hard to launch a Windows Phone 7 smartphone as soon as possible. The first pictures of a handset running the new mobile operating system on a handset of the Taiwan-based company have now surfaced.
A few weeks ago, the some possible names for HTC's Windows phones surfaced: Mozart and Gold. The picture that came with these rumours was clearly a mash-up. That's not the case this time. Remarkable detail: the lack of HTC Sense.
Sense: will it be allowed?
HTC announced that it want to create a its own Sense interface for WP7. At the moment Sense is already available for Android and Windows Mobile 6.5. At the launch of Windows Phoen 7, Microsoft said it would maintain control over the UI, and did not allow third party adjustments. According to HTC's Drew Bamford it was indeed impossible to gain 'control' over the UI of Windows Phone 7. However, there was success in 'augmenting' of the interface. The exact meaning of such wordplay will be revealed with the first release of Sense for Windows Phone 7.
