Nokia launches C7 and C6 at Nokia World

Nokia chairman of mobile division, Anssi Vanjoki, this morning presented the new Nokia C7. Vanjoki, who will soon leave Nokia, emphasized the very thin form factor of the new phone.

The Symbian^3 has a 3.5 inch touchscreen, and will come to stores in Q4. The first pictures of this device were leaked back in July. The images now appear to be close to reality. Vanjoki also presented a new C6. We had aC6before, which is succeeded by a phone with the same name, the C6-01, that runs, like C7, Symbian^3. The previous C6 worked with Symbian S60 5th edition

Nokia C7

The C7 get a 8 Megapixel camera, Wifi N, GPS en Bluetooth 3.0, teh new, faster version of the Bluetooth protocal. The phone is about 10 mm thick, and will cost €350 before taxes.

Nokia C6-01

The new C6 shares many features with the C7. The handset has a smaller screen of 3.2 inches, but has a 8 Megapixel camera, Wifi N, GPS and Bluetooth 3.0.

Facebook

To promote the new handsets, Nokia organises a special action for its facebook friends. The five most active friend get a loan C6 or C7. The one of them who generates most facebook publicity get a free phone for himself and 20 friends.
