Spotted: new HTC Touch HD with gigantic display

A new HTC model got our attention: one with a gigantic WVGA display. Is HTC introducing a widescreen version of the Touch? It seems like it!

The guys of MoDaCo were the first to obtain some pictures of this new HTC model. We have to admit, we do seem some similarities with the BlackBerry Thunder; four buttons (record, home, back and a red button) with a big touchscreen. But nevertheless, it seems like a great device.


Enough room for all your information
We haven't only seen pics of the looks of the HTC Touch HD, also pics of the capabilities the device might get are spread on the Internet. A 3.5 inch touchscreen with a WVGA resolution, that are 800 x 480 pixels! Finally a widescreen smartphone for Europe! Unfortunately the Touch HD doesn't have mobile television, that would have been too great..


The Touch HD is probably going to be 115x62,8x12mm
The device does have GPS, WiFi, HSDPA, a 5 megapixel camera and Windows Mobile 6.1 that is gettng help from the 528 MHz processor, 512 MB Flash memory and 256 MB RAM memory. The display isn't that special. More special is the rumour that this new HTC model wil be out in stores this Christmas!
