Samsung and Google presented the Galaxy Nexus and Android Ice Cream Sandwich in Hong Kong. The new phone and new version of the OS are coming to the market in november.
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is a supersmartphone with a 4.65 inch screen and a 1.2 inch dual core processor. The screen resolution is 1280 x 720 pixels, while the phone features a five megapixel camera. The Galaxy Nexus is the successor of the Nexus S. It comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Some new features of this version include the option to unlock the phone with face recognition.
Another new option is Android Beam, which allows the exchange of data over NFC. Ice Cream Sandwich reconciles the tablet and smartphone version of Android. It brings many features and the design of Android Honeycomb to the smartphone. This includes the app switch and the lock screen. The Galaxy Nexus coms in november.
