New Acer smartphone revealed

Acer is working on a new Android phone in a very oblong format, as appears on pictures that surfaced today. The handset furthermore has a double camera, and supports Dolby Sound.

In the smartphone market, Acers role has been quite humble for. You'd almost forget that the manufacturer has released multiple Android handsets. With the nameless phone that leaked now, Acer introduces a screen size that we haven't seen on Android before.


Earlier, LG brought a phone with an extremely oblong screen, the BL40 Chocolate Touch. That phone has a screen with an 800 x 345 pixels.
