Apple iPhone 4S sold four million times in first weekend

In the first weekend that the iPhone 4S was available, the new smartphone from Apple sold 4 million times. The unit thus breaks another record for Apple.

The sales figures of the iPhone 4S are impressive. This is especially evident when compared with previous sales from competitors and Apple. It took Samsung five months to sell the Galaxy S II ten million times. Before the first iPhone was sold 4 million times, 74 days elapsed. Of the iPhone 4, in three weeks time three million units were sold.


The new Apple iPhone proves its value, despite the disappointment about the lack of a completely new device. The device not available in all countries yet. We therefore expect that the rapid sales of millions of iPhones will follow.
