It's time to say goodbye to some nasty old bugs! This week a firmware update for the LG Optimus 3D and the Motorola Atrix.
LG Optimus 3D - Android 2.3 Gingerbread
The LG Optimus 3D is (finally) updated with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, until recently the most recent version of Androide. This version of Android came out in 2010, so owners of the first 3D device that was for sale in many markets had to be patient. The update is expected at the beginning of next week. Besides a new Android version, it has also an improved 3D editor. The update will be rolled out over the air. It’best to download the update via a WiFi connection.
Motorola Atrix - Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread
The Motorola Atrix gets an update to Android 2.3.4, a newer subversion of Android. Besides a newer subversion of Android, the device gets some improvements in the software that was supplied by Motorola. It is now possible to record videos in 1080 d, you get a better browser, and the dock and the homescreen have been changed. The update comes over the air. We advise to download through a WiFi connection.
