Android 3.0 Honeycomb not for smartphones

At the CES, Google presented a new video of Android 3.0 Honeycomb in which it affirms that this version will indeed not be meant to be installed on smartphones. It's clearer than ever when we see the second line of text: 'built entirely for tablets'.

Rumour already had that Honeycomb would not be fit for smartphones. The rumours have been affirmed today, in a video that was created by Google itself. After about 10 seconds we see a text that makes clear that we should expect the new version of Android on smartphones:

What we see is a structure that reminds us of a desktop more than a mobile phone. We see a taskbar at the bottom, containing some programs and a couple of user configurable widgets. Like the smartphone version, there are five homescreens. The emphasis of the systen seems to be on e-Books.
