Samsung Galaxy S II Mini to be highend brother to S2

Think the Galaxy SII, that was announced lately, is a little to large? Don't panic, because Samsung will bring a smaller version; the Galaxy S II Mini. Despite the 'mini', this is a high-end smartphone.

That's good news for those who do not want a phone with a 4.2 inch screen or larger. The screen of the Galaxy S II mini is no larger than 3.7 inch. The resolution is, 800 x 480 pixels, most commonly known as WVGA. It remains unknown whether this concerns a TFT or Super AMOLED Plus screen.

To make sure that the S2 Mini meets the needs of a high-end smartphone user, Samsung gives this phone a 1.4 Hz processor. This is probably a single core, unlike the larger Samsung Galaxy S II. The only minor dissapointment is the camera: it has no more than 5 megapixels. This may be enough for common use, but it is less than the 8 megapixels in many of its competitors.

According to a sheet that was leaked by the English operator Three, the Galaxy S II mini will be in stores in April.
