Qualcomm shows next generation of processors


The Taiwanese manufacturer Qualcomm is rapidly conquering the smartphone market. The company makes processors for many phones, including HTC, Samsung and all devices running Windows Phone 7.

Meanwhile, the Taiwanese are working hard to finish the next generation of mobile processors. These come in two flavors: single core and dual core. A promotional video shows the speed of the new units. Even Nokia will be forced to use these new processors in itssmartphones. While Qualcomm and Nokia fought a long battle over patents, the switch to Windows requires the company to use a Qualcomm processor.

Many Android phones are equipped with a Qualcomm power. Moreover, BlackBerry recently also switched to the processors of the brand. The new BlackBerry Bold 9900 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
