Nokia leaks C2-06, dual-SIM feature phone

Nokia has accidently published the C2-06 on its own website. An image of the device graced an article on IPv6. The C2-06 is a phone with dual SIM support.

The C2-06, which could also come to the market as C2-02 earlier surfaced in India. The device is in the Touch-and-Type line of the Finnish mobile phone manufacturer, and runs on the proven S40 operating system. Devices in the Touch-and-Type series have both a numeric keypad and a touch screen, and as such support several ways to operate. The C2-06 is slider phone. The keyboard slides underneath the display. The image on the Nokia site has been updated, ousting the C2-06.

Russia

It is unlikely that this device comes to most European countries. Handsets using two SIM cards are especially popular in Russia and the Far East. Many operators in Russia do not cover the whole country, so people who travel have a subscription to multiple operators, guaranteeing them mobile coverage wherever they go. Hence dual SIM phones are popular in that country.
