HTC is about to release a new handset, the Mecha, as can be concluded from a list of avaliable phones, that was shortly published on HTCSense.com. The smartphone will likely run Android, like the Desire HD and Desire Z.
Those who wanted to see some images to check which model they possess, were presented an images of the HTC Hero for the Mecha. It seems unlikely that this wil actually be the design of the Mecha, which has already disappeared from the website.

The site on which the handset leaked, HTCSense.com,enables users to configure their phone behind any computer. You can configure call forwarding or even wipe the phone completely. Text messages can be stored on the website as well. The Desire HD and Desire Z are the first phones with these functions.
