Microsoft officially announces own KIN phones


As expected, Microsoft announced her own line of phones which will success the Danger Sidekick-series. The KIN One and the KIN Two run on Windows Phone 7 and they exceed thanks to the integration with social networks.

It's not a surprise, if we take a better look at the KIN One and KIN Two: both have been equipped with a complete slider keyboard. This and the fact that use is made of reasonably small keys, both devices resemble the Palm Pre.

The KIN One is the simplest of both devices. However, simple? The device, previously knowrelatively small OVGA resolution touchscreen. a 5 megapixel camera including flash and 4GB internal memory complement it all.

KIN Two

The KIN Two is designed as a more traditional QWERTY slider and has, in comparison to the KIN One, a larger touchscreen; HVGA resolution. The 8 megapixel and 8 GB memory are much better then the One. However, the size of the memory does not really matter, as the KIN series mainly saves the data on Microsoft servers.

KIN Spot, Loop en Studio

Microsoft has done more then developing two devices. KIN is a new brand which has to appeal especially to youngsters by offering close integration with social networks, keeping up with friends' activities. With KIN Walk you'll updated on the latest news, events, tweets and social networks. Information is automatically pushed to your KIN. As communication is not a 'one way street' , it is possible to share information with your friends thanks to KIN Spot. Think of images, textmessages or tweets. 'Drag' your info to the 'spot', select the person you want to share with and start sharing.
