Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Expected to Launch August 27
Samsung is hosting a Galaxy Event on Thursday, August 27. The invitation makes it clear which device will be announced: the Galaxy S26 Fan Edition. The Galaxy S26 Fan Edition!
We were in the mood for a party again, so we’re happy to mark Thursday, August 27, in our calendars. Samsung announced the Galaxy S26 series on March 6, 2026, and now, nearly half a year later, it’s time for an expansion. And that can only be about the Galaxy S26 FE.

The invitation shows a top-down view of two cups with what looks suspiciously like iced matcha—the trendy green tea drink—with star-shaped ice cubes that nod to the Galaxy AI logo. We have seen the S26 FE in exactly that same light green color before.
Galaxy S26 FE Price: Up Again
It is claimed that the suggested retail price for this device is once again higher than last year; various sources estimate an increase of €50. This follows the same trend as other Samsung phones this year. The increase is attributed to the sharp rise in the cost of memory chips. Ironic detail: a significant portion of those more expensive chips come from Samsung’s own factories. The extra cost you will pay will partly flow back to Samsung itself as profit.
Familiar Specs, New Chip
Other rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE concern a changed look for the camera island. Expect a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera. Just like last year’s S25 FE. The screen also still measures 6.7 inches and the battery capacity remains at 4900 mAh. However, it is said to contain a new processor: the Exynos 2500 chip. On paper, there is little difference from the S25 FE, but we will only know once we have the full picture.
In recent days, we have also seen rumors about the Galaxy Tab S12 and new Galaxy Buds, but Samsung may be saving those for the IFA trade show in Berlin. This consumer electronics trade show starts on September 4.
You can attend the unveiling of the newest member of the Galaxy S26 series live by tuning in to Samsung’s YouTube channel on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. (Dutch time). We hope to tell you afterwards which colors the device will be available in, what it will cost, and when you can buy one.
