Apple iPhone Air and iPhone 17 series now available for preorder
If you have your sights set on the new iPhone Air or one of the iPhone 17 models, you might want to get your wallet ready as the phones go on sale today at 14:00.
Apple announced the thin iPhone Air and the iPhone 17 series consisting of the substantially upgraded iPhone 17, and redesigned iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max last Tuesday at a special Keynote. The vanilla iPhone 17 in particular looks like a good deal on paper.
iPhone 17
In fact, Apple is (finally) equipping the device with a 120Hz screen. Previously, this ProMotion screen was only available on the (much) more expensive Pro models. As a result, the screen has a dynamic screen refresh rate of between 1 and 120Hz and also features an Always-On mode. Furthermore, Apple equipped the device with a new A19 chip while in the past it also sometimes reverted to a chip from last year.
The iPhone 17 is available for preorder in Black, White, Spray Blue, Sage Green and Lavender colors. This year's entry-level model comes with 256GB and is priced at $969.
iPhone Air
If you really want something new this year, there's the iPhone Air. With its 5.6-millimeter thin body, you are guaranteed to attract a lot of attention. Despite this thinness, it still packs an A19 Pro chip, 48MP Fusion camera and a spacious 6.5-inch ProMotion display. Apple promises one-day battery life but is still releasing a separate MagSafe battery just to be safe.
The iPhone Air is available in four colors; Space Black, Cloud White, Light Gold and Sky Blue. Again, the entry-level model has 256GB of storage, but you can also Choose between 512GB or even 1TB. Prices are a bit firmer and start at €1229.
iPhone 17 Pro & Pro Max
They received relatively little attention during the announcement, but they really are the most powerful iPhones ever; the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. Apple gave them a new design, but also fixed a serious problem from last year; overheating.
.By switching from titanium to a unibody of aluminum, and applying a vapor chamber, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max can get rid of its heat much better. This allows the new A19 Pro chip to perform at maximum power for much longer. No more throttling, in other words.

You can buy an iPhone 17 Pro starting at $1329 in three colors; Silver, Deep Blue and our favorite; Cosmic Orange. Memory options range from 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. The iPhone 17 Pro Max has an additional storage option of 2TB. It is available in the same colors and starts at $1479.
