The iPhone 15 Pro Max is Apple's feat for 2023. This year, besides a larger screen and extensive battery, it offers a different zoom lens than the regular Pro. On top of that, it contains a lot of differences from its predecessor. Which ones exactly can you read here.

Versatile camera with 5x zoom

On paper, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is not much different from its predecessor. Many specifications have remained the same. Still, there are differences. For example, instead of 3x, you can now zoom up to 5x. This is due to a prism lens hidden deep inside the casing. This telephoto lens has a range of 120mm, bringing you even closer to your subject. Digital zooming can be done up to 25x this year, whereas the 15 Pro is stuck at 15x. The other cameras have macro, 13mm, 24mm, 28mm, 35mm, and 48mm lenses at your disposal. This also keeps the iPhone 15 Pro Max camera very versatile.

Titanium with USB

The casing of the Pro Max is made of titanium this year. This results in a slightly lower weight that still feels much larger. This is mainly due to the weight distribution. The front is still protected by a Ceramic Shield, while the back is textured frosted glass. That back is more accessible to remove should it need to come off to access the battery. On the bottom, notice the new USB C port that replaces Lightning. Theoretically, you can use any USB C cable to charge your iPhone. If you also want to transfer data, we recommend a USB-C 3.0 cable. That's because it supports the higher 10Gbit/s speeds that this 15 Pro Max supports.

New Button

Now and then, Apple rather quietly introduces a reasonably significant change. Such is the case with the iPhone 15 Pro Max because, on the left side, the year-old ring/silent switch is gone. In its place, you now find the Action Button. A button that lets you do much more than just put your phone on silent. You can choose many other functions, such as opening the camera, enabling focus mode, or dictating text. Press and hold the button, and the iPhone does the rest. The iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at 256GB of storage, double last year's. Very lovely of Apple, but expensive it still is.
