Motorola edge 70 fusion is coming: these are the first photos and specs
In April 2025, Lenovo announced the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion. It was a slim smartphone with a curved screen and fresh Pantone colors. In a world where phones are updated annually, it is not surprising that we are now reading reports about the edge 70 fusion. Here are the first images.
The renders below are from YTECHB and show the Motorola edge 70 fusion in a pair of colors. From our own research, we know that there are more colors: Sporting Green, Silhouette and Orient Blue. Evan Blass complements this with the color options Blue Surf and Country Air.
Like many Motorola phones, the edge 70 fusion has a textured back. In addition to photos, the list of specifications already appeared on Evan Blass' timeline a week ago. His information is usually considered very reliable. Enumerated are:

Comparing the above specifications with its predecessor, the edge 60 fusion, a few things stand out. For one, the screen is larger and Motorola traded in the MediaTek processor for one from Qualcomm. Benchmarks show that the Qualcomm chip performs 10-13% faster. In practice, this performance difference is negligible for the average user.
Very larger battery
The most significant upgrade concerns the battery capacity. Of that, the capacity goes from 5200 to 7000 mAh. An increase of almost 35%. Users are going to notice that. Thus, the usage time will be more than two days. Reason for this increase is presumably the switch to a silicon-carbon battery.
We see several manufacturers making this switch, although the big brands like Samsung and Apple are still staying away from this relatively young battery technology. The higher energy density of this technology keeps the device compact despite its large capacity.
The launch of the Motorola edge 70 fusion is expected soon, possibly in early April 2026. In the past, the edge 60 fusion and edge 50 fusion also appeared in that month. There seems to be no reason not to continue that tradition.
