Motorola razr Fold at point of launch: unique blend of camera and stylus?
While Motorola dominates the flip market with the Razr Series, a book-style foldable has been missing from their lineup. That changes soon. Leaked images via Evan Blass reveal Motorola's direct answer to the Galaxy Z Fold series. A device that appears to offer exactly what Samsung users are fearing to lose.
Roman statesman Marcus Tullius Cicero wrote before the modern era, "A house without books is like a body without a soul." Motorola has taken that to heart and felt the lack of a bookstyle-foldable in its lineup was unacceptable. According to a last minute rumor, that will soon change, according to the images below.

The first images of the Motorola razr Fold reach us via @evleaks who spotted the device in two different colors. It is the first Motorola phone that folds open like a book. Motorola is reserving the razr line historically for clamshell (flip) models, so perhaps the device will soon be called differently than the currently mentioned razr Fold.
Motorola razr Fold expected in two colors
The color offering will initially be limited to white and black where we have images of both. On the back are three cameras of which we only know what the caption tells us; Sony LYTIA 3.5 OIS 21-71mm. Zooming in a little further on the back we see unmistakably a periscope lens meant to zoom optically.
With this, Motorola opens the direct attack on Samsung. After all, the Galaxy Fold 7 does not have that.

Motorola razr Fold gets stylus support
Motorola seems to have another trump card, in other photos we see a stylus. Samsung just stepped away from supporting the pen with the Fold 7, much to the chagrin of some die-hard fans. A petition was even started to get Samsung to bring back the pen. Discouraged Samsung Fold users will soon have an alternative in the razr Fold. Although the Fold 6 and S25 Ultra also remain options for those who want to remain loyal to Samsung.
We see that the pen is used to take notes but it will not be inconceivable that the foldable can also be operated with it. Whether you can also store the pen in the device itself is not yet clear; the leaked images do not answer that (yet).
The launch of Motorola's first bookstyle foldable may be coming soon; the company has scheduled a press event at the CES trade show in Las Vegas on Jan. 6, 2026.
