The Oppo Reno4 Pro is a lightweight 5G phone with super fast charging battery and video camera that also captures the night. How this Ultra Night Video mode works is explained here.
Oppo may not be a brand you think of first when buying a new mobile. Still, the company makes some desirable phones with a nice appearance, solid specs and a competitive price. This Reno 4 Pro 5G is a good example. The housing is wafer-thin at 7.6 millimeters and yet it contains everything you would expect from a modern smartphone. Think of a 6.5 inch AMOLED screen. Big enough to look at for a long time, with 90 Hz fast enough to feel smooth, and with a maximum peak brightness of 1100 nits bright enough in full daylight. The display is certified to view HDR10+ content. Colors are more lifelike as a result.
As with all high-end flagships, Oppo also pays a lot of attention to the cameras. On the back of the Reno4 Pro are three cameras; a 48MP main camera, a 12MP ultra wide angle and a 13MP telephoto. With the first one you shoot most of your pictures. Sharp and with a lot of detail. Focusing is done by the Pro with LDAF with the help of laser. That also works accurately in the evening and that is where it excels. There is an Ultra Night and an Ultra Dark mode that even squeezes a visible photo out of the last bit of light. No matter how good the camera is, Oppo especially emphasizes its video qualities. Many other camera phones want to take nice pictures in the evening, but video is a completely different story. With a clear lens and artificial intelligence, the Ultra Night Video mode succeeds in shooting clear video even in the dark. The many video effects of the Reno4 Pro complete the picture.
The Reno 4 Pro is a 5G phone, so you can already use the modern 5G network (provided you have a 5G subscription and coverage). It owes that fast mobile internet to the Snapdragon 765G processor. This is a remarkable choice in this price range because it is not extremely competitively priced. It is also an excellent and powerful chipset, but not the best that manufacturer Qualcomm currently has to offer. What is very impressive is the support to load quickly with up to 65 Watt. Oppo's SuperVOOC 2.0 is currently one of the fastest possible ways to charge your battery. For example, the 4000 mAh large battery is more than half full in just fifteen minutes. Wireless charging is unfortunately not available, so you're stuck on a cable while charging.
