Samsung Galaxy A27 leaked via CAD renders, what are the differences?
CAD renders of Samsung's entry-level Galaxy A27 have surfaced. When compared to last year's A26, one thing stands out: the design hasn't changed. So, what will change?
Like the A26 from a year ago, the Galaxy A27 also promises to be an affordable entry-level device with a screen notch. This notch in the screen for the selfie camera is synonymous with cheap. And although Samsung has replaced the notch on many models with the more modern hole-punch, the A2x series does not yet seem ready for this technology.
And despite the design not being overhauled, the A27 will be different in some respects. Starting with the selfie camera, its resolution is expected to drop from 13 to 12 megapixels. We don't mind, because since Samsung is using a physically larger sensor, the light output is higher. This should result in clearer selfies in the dark that are also less blurry.
Upgrades expected for selfie camera and processor
Another expected difference is the processor. Instead of an Exynos chip made by Samsung itself, rumors suggest the A27 will use a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 from competitor Qualcomm. That seems somewhat implausible to us at the moment, but miracles still happen, so who knows.
Samsung fails to surprise us on the battery front this year. Even with the entry-level Galaxy A27, Samsung doesn't dare make the switch to silicon-carbon batteries, so there is once again a 5000 mAh battery in the device. Let's hope you can charge it faster than 25W this time. A release could happen at any moment. The successor to the A26 has been over a year in coming.
