The Xiaomi Redmi 10 is an affordable phone with 50MP Quad Camera and a smooth display. Exactly the most important features you want. Or do you? We're going to find out for you here.
Xiaomi is good at building inexpensive phones with appealing features. They divide those phones equally and totally randomly among the Mi, Redmi and Redmi Note series. And yes we mean that sarcastically because Xiaomi does not keep any comprehensible naming convention at all. And so it's up to us to find out what exactly the Redmi 10 is. It's a very affordable device with a quadruple camera of up to 50MP, a smooth 90Hz screen, a MediaTek processor and a big 5000 mAh battery. In other words; a budget phone with big battery and reasonably smooth screen.
But you can't get a front row seat for a dime with Xiaomi either. So the Redmi 10 does not have 5G support, and the charging is also a bit on the slow side at 18W. The camera looks very impressive on paper but 2 of the 4 cameras are only 2MP and of these, the macro camera scores the worst. The MediaTek Helio G88 processor is mediocre at best and therefore not very suitable for gaming. But despite all that, the Redmi 10 is not a bad phone. For example, you can charge other phones by attaching it to your Redmi 10, the memory is expandable, and you plug headphones into the 3.5mm headphone jack. You can even listen to FM radio afterwards because the cord serves as an antenna.
The 6.5-inch screen up front refreshes images at up to 90Hz which makes for smooth transitions. On the back, the 50MP camera provides sharp and colorful shots. In addition to the macro and depth camera, you'll find an 8MP camera with ultra-wide-angle lens with a wide viewing angle of 120°. Ideal for capturing landscapes or buildings. On the front is an 8MP selfie shooter. Video you shoot in up to Full HD (1080p), the sharper 4K video is missing. On the side we find a fingerprint scanner and on top and bottom are speakers for stereo sound. The Redmi 10 even features infrared to control your TV. All in all, a complete budget phone for little money.
