Xiaomi 15-Series announced for European market
Do Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra have enough to beat the competition?
Xiaomi's latest camera phones, the Xiaomi 15 and the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, are coming to Europe. They were announced at the MWC for the European market and will appear in stores soon. Both phones emphasize their camera capabilities, which this time again have been created together with Leica.
The Xiaomi 15 is the more traditional camera phone while the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is the quirky version of it. For example, the latter has an interestingly designed camera island in the shape of a large circle. And despite the bustle on it, it's not necessarily cluttered.

Time to zoom deeper into the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. There on the back are four different cameras; a 50MP main camera with a 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor and large f/1.63 aperture, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle with macro functionality, a 50MP camera with 70mm telephoto lens and a second telephoto camera with 200MP sensor. All cameras feature optical image stabilization (OIS) and have a combined focal length of 14 to 135mm.

Like the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, the Xiaomi 15 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor with Xiaomi HyperOS 2 which includes many AI features including writing tools and dynamic backgrounds. The best of the best may cost a bit as Xiaomi is asking €1499.90 for one. For that, you get 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM memory.
Slightly more conservative is the regular Xiaomi 15. With a starting price of €899.90, the device still manages to give competitors such as the Samsung Galaxy S25 and the Google Pixel 9 a pretty tough time. At 6 years, the software support is a year shorter than Samsung's, but still neat. We expect both phones in stores starting March 5 or 6.
