“These are the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7”
During the next big Galaxy Unpacked of 2025, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. Of the former, we now believe we have the full specifications.
For example, @TheGalox_ thinks the Galaxy Z Fold 7 features One UI 8. This is remarkable because Google has yet to release Android 16 and for version 7 of One UI, Samsung took over half a year. Nevertheless, the Fold 7 is still expected this year, and it may even come earlier than usual.
Other major changes to the Fold 7 are:
- Improved Under Display Camera (UDC)
- Strengthened display with new layers
- Larger 8" screen inside and 6.5" screen outside
- New 200MP camera sensor
- Thinner body (4,5mm when unfolded)
- Improved IP rating
- Smaller fold
- Larger Vapor Chamber
- Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy
- Improved speakers and vibration motor
Some information had been leaked before. For example, we already knew that the device was only 4.5 millimeters thick when unfolded. And the larger screen sizes were also mentioned before. Furthermore, thanks to leaked renders, we knew that the aspect ratio hardly changes at all.
Minor changes aside, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 shows strong similarities to the Fold Special Edition that Samsung previously released for a select group of countries. That device, too, was very slim and featured slightly larger screens.
