Fairphone 6 to be announced June 25, 2025
We know when Fairphone will announce its sixth sustainable phone. We won't have to wait long, as the Fairphone 6 is expected this month. That's sooner than usual!
A week ago we could already bring you the news that the Fairphone 6 in two colors and with an 8+256GB configuration was on its way. Now we know when the device will be announced: June 25, 2025 at 09:00. That's according to information we received through retailers. Previous Fairphones were usually announced in August.
Other specifications, unfortunately, we have not yet been able to find out. This is partly because no information has yet appeared on the EAN codes known to us. In that regard, Fairphone has managed to keep the device a secret for a little longer.

Personally, we do not expect any major differences from the Fairphone 5. In our prediction, the Fairphone 6 will not be a substantially different device, think a high-end flagship to compete with the Galaxy S25 or iPhone 16. That's also not the target audience the Dutch Fairphone is aiming for.
The reason why Fairphone chose 25 June is unknown; the day has no other special significance. However, it is the start date of the NATO summit in The Hague, so we hope that journalists won't have to travel to Fairphone's headquarters in Amsterdam, as the roads in the Randstad conurbation may be congested.
