Halloween in the Netherlands

Halloween is traditionally celebrated on the evening of October 31, the day before All Saints’ Day (November 1). In some parts of the Netherlands, it’s customary for children to go door-to-door in the evening in costume to collect candy. This is also known as trick-or-treating. This time, they carry a lantern, but their goal is still to collect as much candy as possible. St. Martin’s Day takes place on November 11.
