Xiaomi Weibo post about the Xiaomi 13 launch being postponed

The blog post on Weibo reads, "Dear users and friends, we regret to inform you that the launch of the new Mi 13 series has been postponed. We will notify you as soon as a new launch date is confirmed. Thank you for your understanding and support".

Unknown reason

.
It is speculation why the launch has been delayed. Perhaps the Covid protests have something to do with the postponement. Because of the strict Zero Covid policy, some factories are currently shut down, and unrest has broken out among employees and residents. The delay could also be out of respect for the death of former China President Jiang Zemin.

Xiaomi has been busy building hype around the 13 series for quite some time now. The series is finally going to be waterproof, and the Xiaomi 13 Pro is said to feature a 1-inch camera sensor.
