First renders appeared of Motorola edge 70 Ultra with back made of “textile”

A well-known Android publication has obtained the very first images of the Motorola edge 70 Ultra. The successor of the edge 50 Ultra will have a textile-like back and a special AI button.

The year is coming to an end again but here we are already gearing up for the year ahead. A year full of phone announcements starting as early as January. One of those announcements will be the Motorola edge 70 Ultra of which AndroidHeadlines has secured the first images.

This new Motorola phone features three cameras on the back that are grouped together with an LED flash on a black platform. This elevation sits in the top left corner. The back itself looks like dust. Presumably, the edge 70 Ultra will not actually be made of fabric, but it looks and feels presumably so.

Motorola is no stranger to releasing textured phones; the edge 60 is also available in a similar back. In addition to a stylish back, the front of the device also promises to look very premium.

AI Button

Thus, the source thinks Motorola is using a flat OLED panel, with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip inside and an AI button on the side. This is on the left side and may be meant to access AI functions. It is hoped that this button will be customizable so you can do other things with it as well.

All that remains is to tell us when the Motorola edge 70 Ultra will be released. Unfortunately, we owe the answer to that. The edge 60 Ultra never came out and the edge 50 Ultra dates back to the second quarter of 2024. So a January launch is not obvious but who knows.
