Motorola edge 20 Pro product details
The Motorola edge 20 Pro is part of a new generation of edge models with an updated design, made out of premium materials, with powerful performance and in the case of this edge 20 Pro an impressive camera system. How, what and why you can read here.
First Moto with periscope
The 'edge 20 series' announced in 2021 consists of the entry-level 'edge 20', an 'edge 20 Lite' and this 'edge 20 Pro'. It may be clear from the name that we are dealing with the most extensive model. That is also true when we look at its camera. We not only notice the 108MP main camera but also the periscope camera with 5x optical and 50x digital zoom. And then there's a 16MP ultra-wide angle with 119° lens and macro mode. The main camera shoots impressively sharp and detailed photos thanks to its abundance of megapixels. Videos can be captured in up to 8K. All in all, a feature-rich camera with excellent performance for many scenarios.

Extremely smooth 144Hz display
The edge 20 Pro's screen not only measures an impressively large 6.7 inches, it also runs a high 144Hz refresh rate. This makes transitions look extra smooth and your device feels faster. Color reproduction is fine as the 10-bit panel supports HDR10+. The selfie camera sits in a small punch-hole at the top center. Motorola has expanded the software with selfie animations, group selfies and Face Beauty. For a flagship, we also expected the fingerprint scanner to be in the screen. But it's here on the side. A bit too high in our opinion to use easily with one hand.

Flagship performance
Motorola is applying a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. That's an 865+ with a higher clock speed. This way, it can last for another year. There is a generous 12GB of RAM memory so you can quickly switch between many open apps. The storage memory is 256GB and cannot be expanded. However, 2 SIM cards fit in the edge 20 Pro. The battery has a capacity of 4500 mAh and supports 30W TurboPower fast charging. Wireless charging is unfortunately missing. Motorola applies Android 11 out of the box with its own My UX on top. Thankfully, that's free of unnecessary apps and bloatware. That makes it a powerful alternative to many flagships that are often more expensive.
