Xiaomi Mi 10T product details
The Xiaomi Mi 10T is Xiaomi's flagship for the end of 2020, early 2021. Xiaomi focuses with the 10T on 3 things; camera, display and speed. How good (or how bad) these 3 things are is something we are going to find out here.
64MP camera without zoom
Since Xiaomi finds the camera, the screen and the speed most important we will investigate exactly 3 things. Starting with the camera. Xiaomi applies a 64MP main camera with a 13MP ultra-wide-angle and a 5MP macro. If you look at the back of the Mi 10T you would expect 2 more lenses but behind these are the flash and a sensor. If you want even sharper pictures you can go for the Mi 10T Pro which is equipped with a 108MP camera. Both do not have a separate zoom lens but a macro lens for extreme close-ups. As far as we are concerned, the trend of macro cameras may be over, you won't use it very much. Unless you like insects, because you will be able to see them with razor sharp focus.

Fast screen you want to look at
Then the screen. To make the Mi 10T a flagship, Xiaomi used a 6.67 inch DotDisplay. Unfortunately this is not a colorful and contrasting AMOLED panel, but one with a 144Hz refresh rate. Animations like scrolling through a text look a lot smoother. We warn you; once you get used to this, you never want anything else. Xiaomi applies a variable speed called AdaptiveSync which can scale down to at least 30 Hz. Ideal for nonmoving pictures or text to save battery power. The resolution is Full HD+ which is sharp enough, even up close. And the Reading Mode keeps you looking at it without your eyes getting tired.

Potentially fast enough
Remains over the speed. For this part, we look at the processor. This determines to a large extent how fast (or slow) a phone is. Combined with how much RAM memory this processor has and we can give a nice picture. Inside the Mi 10T is a Snapdragon 865 processor with either 6 or 8GB of RAM memory. Since this is the fastest processor that Qualcomm has in its range, we assume that the performance is good. Where it can still go wrong is the software and there Xiaomi drops some stitches. Its own MIUI 12 runs on top of Android 10 but is so full of features that it slows down the device a bit. Moreover, it contains unnecessary apps and even advertisements (which can be removed anyway). Maybe the price can be a decisive factor. It's not very high, especially compared to equivalent phones.
