These are the camera specs of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series

The Samsung Galaxy S20 series is coming, consisting of the S20, S20+ and the S20 Ultra. But what are the differences? That question will be answered today. At least when it comes to the cameras.

The answer can be read at MySmartPrice which claims to have received the information from Ishan Agarwal; a generally reliable source. The most striking thing about this is that the 108 megapixel camera sensor mentioned seems to be only predestined for the Galaxy S20 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra

The Galaxy S20 on the other hand gets a 12 + 64 + 12 megapixel camera with 10 megapixel selfie shot. The screen size goes up to 6.2 inches and the battery grows to 4000 mAh. The Galaxy S20+ also gets a 12 + 64 + 12 camera with 10 megapixel self-image camera but has a ToF sensor. The screen size of the Plus version is 6.7 inches. On paper, this is considerably larger than the 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED panel in the S10+.

10x optical and 100x hybrid zoom

The self-developed 108 megapixel sensor will only end up in the Galaxy S20 Ultra; currently an as yet unknown version in the Galaxy S-line. It'll also be the Ultra running off with the periscope zoom camera. This 48 megapixel camera features 10x optical zoom and 100x hybrid zoom. The latter will be advertised as Space Zoom because you can zoom in on the moon. The model also features a 12 megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a ToF sensor for enhanced depth recognition.

12 GB of RAM

Also noteworthy is that all S20 versions come with at least 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage memory. Only the Ultra will be available in higher 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. New to the screen is the higher 120Hz refresh rate which makes animations smoother. Samsung announces the S20 series (possibly together with the Galaxy Z Flip) on February 11th.
