The Apple iPhone 5C is the very first iPhone that came out in several different cheerful colors. It is also an iPhone with a plastic back which makes it slightly cheaper than comparable iPhones.

Colorful entry level

The Apple iPhone 5C was announced as a colorful entry-level model in 2013. The back is made of 'Hard Coated Polycarbonate' and is available in various bright colors, from blue to pink. This makes the iPhone 5C somewhat reminiscent of the iPod line that is also available in different colors. Perhaps the biggest advantage of this is that you do not necessarily have to buy a case to walk around with a colorful iPhone.

Apart from a striking color, the iPhone 5C is, of course, just another iPhone. The screen measures 4 inches and is still of the Retina type. That means many pixels and therefore sharp images. The 5C is equipped with an 8 megapixel camera and the A6 processor is also present. This is the same processor as in the iPhone 5 and would be 2 times faster than its predecessor. The big difference with the iPhone 5 is that it can handle all known 4G networks.

The iOS operating system also takes up the necessary space so there is effectively only 3.7 GB of free space for apps, photos and music. Unfortunately, it is not possible to expand this with a separate memory card.
