First photos Samsung Galaxy A57 confirm new design
Its existence seems guaranteed due to the success of the Galaxy A5x series, but until now any trace of it has been missing. We are talking about the Galaxy A57, possibly one of Samsung's best-selling smartphones. But first it has to be announced.

The Galaxy A56 is one of the best-selling Galaxy phones today. In figures from Counterpoint for Q3 of 2025, the device is in the top 10 best-selling smartphones in the world. In some European countries, the midrange device is even in the top 5, including Germany.
First images of the Galaxy A57
Despite that success, a successor is already in the wings. The Galaxy A57 is now showing itself for the first time at the Chinese approval body Tenaa. And from these photos, it appears that Samsung is going to make some changes.

First of all, we see a fresh new color: purple. Also, Samsung applies the same camera platform as it plans on the S26 series. Here, the cameras are placed on a raised island painted in the same color as the back, at least according to rumors.
We cannot confirm earlier reports of a thinner body from these photos. That information is also said to have come from Tenaa and spoke of a thickness of 6.9 millimeters, compared to 7.4 millimeters of the Galaxy A56.
Expected Galaxy A57 specifications
The other Galaxy A57 specifications that the earlier Tenaa report talked about are:
| Screen | 6.6" FHD+ resolution | Somewhat smaller, possibly thinner screen bezels |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | 50MP main, 12MP ultra-wide-angle and 5MP macro camera | Unchanged |
| 12MP selfie camera | Unchanged | |
| Performance | Exynos 1680 processor at max. 2.9 GHz | Higher graphics performance thanks to AMD's Xclipse 550 GPU |
| Memory | 8+128GB and 12+256GB of RAM+storage | Unchanged |
The table above shows that Samsung does not intend to make any changes to the cameras, and the battery also remains unchanged at 5000 mAh. This is remarkable, since competitors in this price category are now working with silicon-carbon batteries of over 6000 mAh. From this we can conclude that Samsung is mainly trying to retain or win customers with a new design.
The launch of the Galaxy A57 may be scheduled for March. That is traditionally the month when Samsung unveils its new Galaxy A5x, A3x and A2x models.
