Compare Maxcom Phones
Maxcom phones are designed for people who mainly want to use their phone for calling and texting, without complicated menus. The Polish brand manufactures simple push-button phones and flip phones, rugged models, and its own line of Android smartphones, often featuring large buttons, a loud speakerphone, and an SOS button. On this page, you can compare Maxcom models side by side, along with the current prices from all participating stores. We don’t earn more from one brand or device than another, so you’ll see the full selection. Check out the overview below and click through to the model that’s right for you.

Which Maxcom phone is right for you?
Maxcom divides its phones into four lines, and those lines say more about your choice than the individual model numbers. Once you know which line you’re looking for, the rest is just a matter of the specific model.
How do Maxcom phones really differ?
- Comfort: the simple line, usually featuring large backlit keys, an SOS button that calls preset contacts, and often a charging station where you can place the phone. Check each model to see if it’s hearing aid compatible (HAC).
- Classic: the classic keypad phones, designed for calling and texting—and not much else.
- Strong: the rugged line, resistant to dust, water, and drops, for outdoor work or on the go.
- Smart: Maxcom’s Android smartphones, for those who still want apps and a touchscreen.
What you don’t need to compare: ease of use is the starting point at Maxcom. For the Comfort, Classic, and Strong models, clear menus, a hands-free mode, and a battery that lasts for days are standard. With the Smart models, you trade off some of that convenience for apps. The real choice comes down to the shape that fits comfortably in your hand, how much protection you need, and whether calling and texting are enough for you.
Choose a Maxcom Comfort model if ease of use is more important than features and you need to be able to reach someone quickly.
Choose a Classic model if you want a familiar keypad phone without the extra features of the Comfort line.
Choose a Strong model if the phone needs to go to places where it might fall or get wet.
Choose a Smart model if you still want apps and a touchscreen without the complexity of a top-of-the-line model.
In addition to the line, the design matters. A flip phone prevents accidental calls from your pants pocket, and you hang up by closing it; a bar phone is flatter and fits more easily in a pants pocket or bag.
Does a Maxcom phone still work on 4G and VoLTE?
Whether a Maxcom phone supports 4G with VoLTE varies by model, and it’s the most important thing to check before you choose. The 3G networks in the Netherlands have been shut down, and providers are phasing out 2G, so with a phone that only supports 2G or 3G, you’ll increasingly be unable to make calls. Therefore, check the specifications to see if it supports 4G with VoLTE. VoLTE is the technology that enables calling over 4G; without VoLTE, a phone falls back to 2G for calls—and that’s precisely the network that’s being phased out. Some of the Comfort models support 4G with VoLTE; others still only work on 2G.
What a Maxcom keypad phone can’t do
A keypad phone is designed for making calls and sending text messages—and that’s about it. Some Maxcom models run on KaiOS, a system with a limited number of apps; the rest don’t have an app store at all. If you want to make video calls, do online banking, or use messaging apps daily, this won’t be enough for you, and you’d be better off looking at a Maxcom Smart model. Conversely, that’s precisely their strength: the fewer features, the less that can go wrong.
There is, however, one limitation. On Maxcom’s own product and support pages, we find no commitment regarding the duration of security updates for the Android models. For a device you plan to use for years, this is a factor to consider; with feature phones, the risk is lower, since they run little to no third-party software.
In addition to phones, Maxcom also manufactures speakers, activity trackers, and home electronics. For the phones, this means a broad and varied selection of simple devices, and the overview above is the quickest way to find the right model.
