Is an Oppo Find N right for you?
Only if you’re willing to import it yourself. Oppo doesn’t officially sell the Find N series in Europe: the Find N5 from 2025 skipped our continent, and the Netherlands isn’t on the official launch list for the Find N6 from March 2026 either. Still, the devices are available at Dutch online stores, which import them themselves. That can work out just fine, but it does change where you’ll go for warranty service.
What defines the Find N series?
Thin and light are its hallmarks. The Find N6 measures just over four millimeters when unfolded, stays under nine millimeters when folded, and weighs 225 grams, while featuring an 8.1-inch inner screen and a 6.6-inch outer screen, both with 120Hz refresh rates. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and the camera system consists of a 200-megapixel main lens, a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens. The battery capacity is around 6,000 mAh, which is generous for a device of this thickness: it will last a full day, even with the large screen open.
Where Oppo falls short is in software support: six years of updates compared to seven years from Samsung and Google. The ColorOS software is also feature-rich but cluttered, with more pre-installed apps than many users want.
Oppo Find N or Samsung Galaxy Z Fold?
This is the key trade-off, and it’s less about specs than you might think.
Choose the Oppo Find N if you want the thinnest and lightest clamshell model with a flagship-level camera, and don’t mind buying it from an import store.
Choose the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold if peace of mind is your priority: official warranty and repairs in the Netherlands, seven years of updates, a wide selection of cases, and usually a lower price.
What should you look for in an imported device?
Three factors determine whether importing is a wise choice for you.
- Global or Chinese version: only the global version comes with Google services and the Play Store. The Chinese version is cheaper, but lacks these features and runs on Chinese software.
- Warranty through the store: your warranty claim is handled through the online store that imported the device, not through an Oppo service center in the Netherlands. Be sure to check in advance how repairs are handled, especially for a foldable with a fragile hinge.
- Price: expect to pay around 1,870 euros for the entry-level version of the Find N6, significantly more than a Galaxy Z Fold. Prices vary among import shops, so it’s especially worth comparing them here.
