Compare Honor Phones
For Honor phones, support varies widely by series: from seven years of updates on the most expensive models to no published timeframe for the entry-level models. We don’t sell anything ourselves, and we don’t earn more from one brand than another: you’ll see the prices from all providers side by side for each model. Filter by what you’re looking for and see what’s been promised for each model.

Which Honor series is right for you?
The series vary not only in price but also in age: in addition to the current generations, you’ll find devices from years ago, including models from the time when Honor was still part of Huawei. Be sure to check the year of manufacture for each model.
How do the Honor series differ?
- Magic Series: the flagship models, featuring the most advanced camera capabilities and the longest promised support; this also includes the foldable models from the Magic V Series (€€€ to €€€€)
- Numbered Series: the mid-range, including the Honor 400 and 600 models; the focus is on camera and design rather than processing power (€€)
- X Series: the entry-level class, built around battery life and a large screen (€)
- Magic Lite: bears the Magic name but is in a lower class in terms of features (€€)
Relative price indication within this overview: the more € symbols, the more expensive. See the overview above for current prices.
All devices from the independent Honor brand run on Android with MagicOS on top. The differences lie in the camera quality, screen size, and the number of years of support Honor has committed to.
Choose the Magic series if you want to keep using the device for as long as possible and the camera is a major priority.
Choose the numbered series if the camera is important but you don’t need the top-of-the-line model.
Note the “Lite” suffix in a model name: those devices are not covered by the update promise, even though they bear the Magic name.

How many years of updates does an Honor get?
This is where the series differ the most, and it’s not reflected in the price: a Magic Lite and a device from the 400 series are in the same price range, but Honor has only specified a timeframe for the 400 series. In total, Honor has made commitments for two series and none for the rest.
- Magic series: seven years of Android versions and seven years of security updates. This commitment begins with the Magic7 Pro and will first take effect in European markets; Honor mentions both the classic and foldable flagship models
- Honor 400 series: six years of Android versions and security updates. Honor has not published a timeframe for other generations of the numbered series
- X Series and Lite models: no published timeframe, and the Lite models are explicitly excluded from the promise for the Magic Series
If Honor has not published a timeframe for a device, the European minimum standard serves as your guideline: for models released in the EU on or after June 20, 2025, the manufacturer must continue to provide security updates for five years after a model is discontinued, and keep replacement parts available for seven years. This is a legal minimum, not a promise from the brand. Honor’s specific commitments for each device are listed on the product page.
Google Services and the Split from Huawei
Honor devices come with the Google Play Store and Google services, so WhatsApp, your banking app, DigiD, Maps, and YouTube will work just as you’re used to. That’s because Honor isn’t the same company as Huawei: the brand started as Huawei’s younger, more affordable line and was sold to Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology on November 17, 2020. The U.S. trade restrictions apply to Huawei, not to Honor.
For the oldest devices in this overview, from the Huawei era, this isn’t certain. Whether they include Google services depends on the year of manufacture; you can check this on the model’s product page.

MagicOS: the skin over Android
MagicOS is the software layer that Honor places over Android. You’ll notice this layer in its unique layout of settings, its custom power management, and features like Magic Portal, which lets you drag content from one app to another. If you’re coming from a stock Android phone, you’ll have to explore a bit; if you’re coming from a Huawei, you’ll find a lot familiar.
Still unsure about the brand?
If you’re less concerned with the brand and more with the class, you can also start from the other end. In the overview of mid-range smartphones, the Honor models in that category are listed alongside devices from other manufacturers, with the same specifications and current prices for each device. If you’re mainly looking for a low price, the list of affordable phones is the place to start.
