With the realme 9 Pro, realme solves our objections with the realme 9 5G. For example, this Pro does have a wide-angle camera, 33W fast charging, and more RAM. On the other hand, this 9 Pro does not have a memory card slot. You can read about all the other differences here
We start this review with the back for a change. Our eye catches a sparkling design which realme calls Light Shift Design and which is available in three different colors (although that varies by market). On that back, we see three cameras; a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide angle, and the now familiar (and somewhat redundant) 2MP macro camera. The 64MP primary camera offers enough resolution to take sharp photos, even in the dark. Video, oddly enough, does not shoot higher than Full HD. For a "professional" device, we expected at least 4K. However, the ultra wide-angle camera does make us happy. With its 119° large lens, you get a lot more in your picture, and it proves more valuable than the 2MP black and white lens on the regular realme 9 (5G).
On the front of the 9 Pro, realme applies a 6.6-inch display with a very smooth 120Hz playback. As a result, animations look smoother, ideal for when you're scrolling through a list, for example. The screen has a small cutout in the top left corner for the 16MP selfie camera. With this In-Display selfie camera, you can take beautiful portrait photos thanks to the built-in Beauty Mode that smoothes your skin and can blur backgrounds. Those looking for the fingerprint scanner on the front must look to the side. Right in the power button, realme has hidden this fingerprint recognition
Like all Realme 9 models, this 9 Pro features Qualcomm's Snapdragon 695 5G processor. Only the Pro+ is more powerful, thanks to a MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor, but then again, it doesn't have a 120Hz display. The RAM of this realme 9 Pro starts at six and ends at 8GB. In both cases, you receive 128GB of storage memory, which is not expandable. Realme applies memory of type UFS 2.2, which has now been overtaken by UFS 3.1. That makes a difference of half the speed. And that is why this "Pro" is more of a progressive midrange phone than a professional flagship. But you could probably already tell that from its price.

The Realme 9 Pro 5G has a reflective back and a light-fast 64MP camera on the back. So a phone "to catch the light"

Realme can easily stick a plus behind the name of the 9 Pro but does that make it better? In this video, Lewis Hilsenteger of Unbox Therapy explains whether or not you should go for the realme 9 Pro+
