Sony Ericsson is bringing us a Walkman slider exclusive for Vodafone customers; the W715 Walkman.
People who visit NewMobile.com often probably recognize the Sony Ericsson W705 in this new device. Therefore it is no surprise that the W715 Walkman is actually based on this device. So, what is the difference? Where the W705 still has to do without, the W715 has a full GPS navigation.
Vodafone Find&Go
Thanks to the built-in GPS receiver it will be possible for Vodafone customers to use location-based services. Like extensive navigation for drivers, but also for pedestrians thanks to the Vodafone Find&Go software. With this software you can find the closest restaurants, hotels and/or shopping centres.
Moreover, the W715 still is a Walkman phone. It has the same sound quality as the W980i Walkman. This device got the prestigious "best audio experience" award. Fortunately the well known Walkman features aren't missing, like SenseMe, TrackID and Shake Control. Furthermore, the W715 is fully integrated with Vodafone Music to download music online.
More than just a music phone
But the W715 is more than just a music phone. A 3.2 megapixel camera and the support for WiFi are indicating this. Fortunately you can also just make normal phone calls with the W715.
The W715 Walkman with GPS and will be available this quarter. The device will get available in Galactic Black and Luxury Silver.
