Xiaomi, together with Leica, makes one of the better camera phones and so we are extra alert when photos of as-yet unannounced models pop up. Like today of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Here we see the back with the camera module. What can we learn from it?
Well first of all, that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra features a very large and round camera module. On this, Xiaomi has placed several cameras, although it is hard to say exactly how many. That Xiaomi applies such a layout is not surprising, with the 14 Ultra Xiaomi applied something similar.

If we peer closely we can see periscope camera with three more camera sensors. As well as an otherwise small LED flash. There is a red ring around the camera module and the back of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is matte black. The texture looks somewhat like stone or sandpaper. Though I am sure it will have a luxurious and beautiful finish.
1" camera sensor
The inscription "Leica" is no longer in the center this time but has moved to the corner. The reason for this is unknown. Perhaps to make room for the combination of the 1-inch camera sensor and 200MP periscope camera.
According to earlier rumors, Xiaomi is fitting a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor with a 6000 mAh battery. All this is powered by Android 15 with Xiaomi's HyperOS 2 on top. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra may want to watch out.
