The last few days the news has been dominated by Apple. In exactly one week a press event is planned where Apple will introduce its 'latest creation'. A new Iphone is unlikely but it will cover this same iphone.
Presumably this 'new creation' is a tablet which uses the Iphone operating system. At Newmobile.nl we love mobile OS so we follow all the news with big enthusiasm.
A new version of the iPhone OS will presumably see the light at the same time. Version 4.0 will bring on some changes for the current iphone. However the latest rumour goes around that only the iPhone 3G and the newer 3GS will profit from this. The first generation iPhone will not be upgradeable to 4.0.
New gestures, multitasking and UI-changes
According to BGR version 4 will bring more multitouch-features, a new way to introduce multitasking and adding new navigation-animations as bridges between screens and new controls. Also according to BGR there will be a new functionality to synchronize contacts and agenda items. The Iphone will be completely up-to-date with these new changes and will be able to compete with the newcomers.
Bing
From a different source we heard that Apple is planning to change the the Iphone standard search engine to Bing. Remarkable, Bing is owned by Microsoft, a very important competitor of Apple. Not that Google, the current search engine, is good friends with Apple. Yet, it is logical that Apple adds Bing to the current choices to 'Google' and 'Yahoo'.
iPhone 4G
Next. We may not call it a 'rumour', rather 'wishful thinking'; this render-image of the fourth generation iPhone. Don't expect an announcement about the successor of the 3GS, because iPhone's are usually launched somewhere in June.
The best thing we can do for no is wait till Wednesday the 27th, when the rumour will be turned into reality.
