Nokia N8, Nokia C7 and Nokia C6-01 can download new firmware. With the update, a new version of the Ovi Store is installed, and you have better Microsoft Exchange Support. QuickOffice, the app you use to view Word and Excel files, is improved, just like Nokia's own social media app. We recommend to install the firmware over a wifi connection. Don't forget to create a back-up. Afterwards, go to Applications > Sw Update on the N8 and Applications > Instruments > SW Update on the other handsets.
The current Android-range of the Japanese-Swedish brands gets an update. The most important improvement is for the Xperia X10. Like many of its competitors, the handset will support pich-to-zoom. The Xperia X10 mini, Xperia X10 mini pro and Xperia X8 still have to work without this option. You will get a new message overview widgetm and the TimeScape and MediaScpae apps have been improved. The update is available via Sony Ericssons Software Updater.
Stay up to dat, see you next week, for a new. firmware update friday!
