Lost your Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra's S Pen? That's how much a new one costs

Despite the lack of Bluetooth in the S Pen on the new Galaxy S25 Ultra, the device does warn you nicely if you don't put the pen neatly back away. But what if you simply can't find the pen again? What if it's lost? For those moments, Samsung is happy to sell you a new pen. That's how much a new one costs.

The strange thing is that a new S Pen without Bluetooth for the S25 Ultra costs as much as an S Pen with Bluetooth for the S24 Ultra. And no, the pen from the S24 Ultra (or even earlier models) will not fit into the S25 Ultra. The price? 54.99 euros.

New S Pen? That'll be €54.99 please

The type number of the S Pen for the S25 Ultra is EJ-PS938BBEGEU and Samsung is selling them in Light Silver, Light Gray and Black colors. JerryRigEverything's teardown video showed that Samsung does include a charger for the pen in the S25 Ultra, but thus does not actively use it. This leaves open the possibility of a future S Pen with bluetooth.

Likelihood of S Pen with Bluetooth is slim

The chance an S Pen with Bluetooth for the S25 Ultra seems slim; Samsung stated that less than 1% of Ultra users used the pen's wireless capabilities. And even a petition from die-hard fans to bring back the functionality is not popular; at the time of writing, less than 7,000.

S Pen generations.
A slightly modified S Pen every year is not very sustainable

Extra e-waste

The lack of Bluetooth is unfortunate but what is worse is that the pen from the S24 Ultra does not fit into the S25 Ultra. Samsung would not have had to make new S Pens then and could have just used the stock S24 Ultra pens. Now the impression, especially with the same prices, is that Samsung is trying to take a hit from people who lose their S Pen.
