i-mate showed and told NewMobile at a dutch event about their new plans and devices that will hit the upcoming months. It included two special devices!
Firstly the current portofolio from i-mate was discussed at the TeleVisie 2006. The new JAMIN and Smartflip we first saw on 3GSM World Congress are already available (JAMIN) or will be available in May (Smartflip). The new devices will expand the current set of devices to six, including the JASJAR, SP5, SP5m and K-JAM.
Next to these devices i-mate told us that they will enter the mid-end segment of the market with new devices around the end of this year. On the basis of several concepts the i-mate portofolio will be filled with some quite interesting devices. Also the 4GB flash memory HTC Muse and HTC Hermes (called JASJAM) will be available this year under i-mate branding.

UMTS, EDGE, GPRS, HSDPA, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Infrared, USB 2.0, TV-out, Intel 416 MHz processor, 2.1 megapixel camera with flash, FM-radio, Special music keys, 240 x 240 pixels screen, VGA videotelefony camera (front), 4 GB flash memory, MicroSD slot, Dual stereo speakers, 64 MB RAM and a very thin design.
Two very special devices were the red i-mate JASJAR special edition and pink version of Smartflip. The red JASJAR was placed at the stand and only 100 devices will be available for people worldwide. The pink Smartflip, which was not available at the event, will be available after the introduction of the standard black version. No real working version was available at this stage.
