Nobody noticed it, but yesterday a new BenQ Mobile device has been introduced. The BenQ-Siemens Q-fi EF71 is a new music clamshell with 2.0 megapixel camera and music player in a new Q-fi range of music-focused devices.
The new Q-fi EF71 is the first device in a new range of music-focussed devices. The introduction of the new device looked to be placed in total silence. However the news they are bringing is quite outstanding, because the Q-fi music range is a direct attack to the Walkman series from Sony Ericsson and the ROKR range from Motorola.
BenQ Mobile makes the first steps with this new device and more will follow positioned at easy-to-use music entertainment with easy access to music functions and a plug and play, all-in-one solution for mobile music lovers. Next to this the innovative technology and sophisticated design in the new "Stellar Aluminum" color are key for the new brand.
The device will be in the shops in September. However prices are not known at this stage.

Thanks to the integrated 2.0 megapixel camera with a special night mode, you can take beautiful pictures and videos even in low light conditions. If connected to a computer via USB cable, the Q-fi EF71 doubles as webcam. While on the go, the battery can easily be recharged via USB connection to a laptop. The charger can stay at home.
With its state-of-the-art display technology, authentic materials and award-winning design, the Q-fi EF71 further enhances BenQ Mobile¬•s strategy of offering mobile phones with innovative technology and sophisticated design. It will be delivered with a Micro-SD card and a stereo headset. It will be available in Asia from July 2006 and in Europe from September 2006 in the color “Stellar Aluminum”.
