Samsung makes everyday Galaxy Tab S10 Lite official
Samsung has pulled back the curtain on the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite and officially unveiled the tablet. This is a tablet for everyday use, with a low price tag but with features that increase productivity.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite revolves around a 10.9-inch screen, an 8000 mAh battery and S Pen support. The pen for that is even included in the box. The starting price is €399 which at first glance is not crazy. But there are ifs and buts.

Thus, Samsung applies a TFT screen that does not excel in displaying bright colors. The maximum screen brightness of 600 nits is not particularly high either. In the press release we also read nothing about the maximum screen refresh rate, possibly sticking to 60Hz but we also see some publication talking about 90Hz. The latter would already make it a lot more interesting.

And yet, the Tab S10 Lite could be a fine everyday tablet in households because of the long battery life offered by the 8000 mAh battery. Refueling can be done with up to 25W which is neat but also nothing special. The built-in Exynos 1380 processor does not come close to Apple's A processor in terms of performance but then again, the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite is much cheaper.
Productivity thanks to S Pen
Combined with the included S Pen, the S10 Lite is quite productive. Not only can you draw pictures with it, you can also convert handwritten text to typed text, solve mathematical formulas and edit PDFs. Also, the pen will come in handy with Circle to Search where you can look something up by circling something.

Samsung says it will deliver the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite with WiFi and 5G starting September 5 in three colors; gray, silver and coral red. The model with 6+128GB of RAM+storage will cost €399, the one with 8+256GB €469. If you want WiFi as well as 5G support with it, you will pay €60 more.
