T-Mobile in the United States has just announced the G2, an high-end smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard. Among other features, the phone will be fitted with an 800 Mhz snapdragon processor.
The announcement was done in a special way. In a tweet, written in binary script, T-Mobile wrote "G2comingsoon" It remains unknown how soon "soon"is, but we may be hearing more from HTC, that makes the G2, next week.
HTC Sense
The G2 will most probably be brought to the market without HTC Sense, alltough the American retailer Walmart brought some confusion, by stating that the handset would come with HTC Sense on its website.
Features of the new phone include a 5 megapixel camera and an AMOLED display. The handset supports HSPA+ en 3G, which makes it suitable for many European networks. However, it remains unknown whether the handset will be coming to Europe.
Tweede G2
This is the second handset named 'G2', but it should not be confused with the G2 Touch, a HTC Hero clone that is sold in some countries.
